AK’s high-quality lacquer-based varnish boasts a superior chemical formula compared to other brands on the market. It flows smoothly in an airbrush, adheres to the surface effectively, and dries perfectly with a soft matte finish. It securely holds all kinds of weathering products. For optimal results, it can be diluted with AK701/AK702 High Compatibility Thinner or other thinners specifically designed for lacquer-based paints.
Base colour in the so-called Mod Eagle camouflage scheme applied to USAF and ANG F-15 fleet from 1992 until today, as well as to the F-22 fleet.
One of the colours used in the so-called Ghost Scheme of the HAF (Hellenic Air Force) introduced in the late 1980s (F-16C/D, F-4E, F-5A/B).
Also used in some USAF aggressor schemes (F-15C, F-16C).
