The Panavia Tornado was a joint effort between the United Kingdom, West Germany, and Italy. This aircraft, with its two seats and two engines, featured a Variable-sweep wing design. Its first flight took place on August 14, 1974 and the first Tornado IDS was delivered to the German Air Force on July 27, 1979. Production of all variants ceased in 1998, with a total of 992 models being built.
